How much do infographics cost to get made? Are they still a good marketing strategy?

Infographics were the rage a couple of years ago. Are they still effective in getting mentions on blogs? In your experience, how much does it cost to get a good looking infographic made?

Subjective answer, but any presentation method that simplifies the transformation of data into usable information is timeless. Yes a well done infographic still has great value.You can get them fully made for around 1.5k or if you do the research yourself you can get someone on elance for under $500 to do the graphics.

They are still an excellent link bait, we just got a link from Marketingland.com and Yahoo Small Business blog last month without any outreach.
