My personal blog is buried under social media accounts when I Google my own name? How to get my blog to show up first?

When I Google my own name, all my social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc) show up before my personal blog. What can I do to ensure my Blog gets listed before the social profiles?

Those domains (twtter.com, facebook.com, linkedin.com) have a lot of authority so very hard to get above. Anyone else had this same problem and solved it?

The only way to approach this is by increasing your blog's ranking, not somehow demoting your social profiles. Some suggestions:

• Focus on creating epic content for your blog. Quality over quantity. Create authoritative content that people will want to link to.
• Promote those epic posts. Contact sites that link to related content and make them aware of your more definitive content.
• Link to your blog from all your social profiles.

Instead of writing one post a day, write one really good post a week. Do that consistently and you'll see your blog rise not just for your own vanity keyword, but others as well.
