TechStars is the closest comparison. They're a mentor-driven intensive program that culminates in a Demo Day to investors. They take a small percent of equity for $18,000 seed investment, and an optional $100,000 convertible debt note.
MassChallenge is the other big accelerator in the area. They take no equity, and provide feedback, access to events, free office space, and up to $100,000 in grants. They're a program by the City of Boston in partnership with a bunch of sponsors and entrepreneurship-focused organizations.
Outside of those two big ones, Boston has several niche-focused accelerators.
