Anonymous questions & answers

We should think about having the ability to post a question or answer anonymously. Sometimes you are bound by contracts and thus can't ask / answer something due to it.

Anonymous doesn't mean without an account -- you'd still need an account to post (to prevent bots), but posting it would not be connected to that account.

  • I can see the value in this. Example: if you're thinking about leaving your job to build your own startup, you may not necessarily want your name publicly displayed by it, in case somebody finds out and there are repercussions. Another (rarer) example: your name is pretty recognizable, and you think you'll get biased answers if you post with your name. – rbwhitaker 10 years ago
  • I would definitely want to see a karma threshhold for this, to prevent abuse. Anonymity also means a lack of accountability. – Jay Neely 10 years ago
